Maria's EHL Story

Maria Czira

Director of Operations & Governance at EHL Experiences.

This year marks my 10th anniversary with EHL Experiences, and looking back, it has been an incredibly rewarding journey of growth and opportunity. I started as a Restaurant Supervisor and, through the support and encouragement of the team, progressed to Front of House Manager, then Group Sales and Reservations Manager, and I am now Director of Operations and Governance, overseeing our venues and operational standards across the business.

Each role has helped me develop new skills and perspectives. Starting on the front line allowed me to understand the importance of exceptional guest experience, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

As I progressed into management and sales roles, I gained valuable experience in leadership, commercial strategy, and operational planning. Today, my role focuses on ensuring our venues operate at the highest standards while supporting teams to deliver outstanding experiences for every guest.

A key influence in my journey has been the mentorship and support of our CEO, Padraic O’Kane, who has consistently encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and take on new challenges. Often, these opportunities came at moments when I did not realise I needed a change or new direction, and I am incredibly grateful for the trust and belief shown in me throughout my career.

What I enjoy most about working with EHL Experiences is the people and the energy. Every day brings something new, and it’s inspiring to work alongside passionate teams who are dedicated to creating exceptional experiences.

For anyone joining the company, my advice would be to stay open to opportunities, embrace change, and keep learning. EHL Experiences truly offers an environment where you can grow.
