Director of The Round Room
The Mansion House in Dublin was conceptualized in the 18th century by one of Ireland’s great visionaries, Joshua Dawson. The Round Room was purpose-built in 1821 to receive King George IV. Remarkable political events have taken place here including the first ever meeting of the Dáil Eireann in 1919.
In 2005 The Round Room at the Mansion House was acquired by EHL Experiences and has since dramatically transformed into a leading events venue with high-end production, lighting and amazing catering. Host to award dinners, live televised events, conferences and product launches, the Round Room is one of Dublin’s city center most iconic venues.
Built in 1821 to welcome King George IV, The Round Room has been the stage for some of Dublin’s most historic moments.
It was here that the first-ever meeting of Dáil Éireann took place in 1919, and a century later, the Anglo-Irish Treaty was ratified, ending the Anglo-Irish War and paving the way for the Irish Free State. Over the years, it has hosted global icons including Pope John Paul II, Nelson Mandela, Queen Victoria, and Princess Grace of Monaco.
The Mansion House Dublin itself is still home to the first citizen of Dublin, the Lord Mayor.
The Round Room underwent a dramatic transformation through the years, becoming a key player in Dublin’s rise as a vibrant urban destination.
Having invested over a quarter of a million euro in lighting, audio, and visual upgrades this has set The Round Room apart from other venues. With one of Ireland’s most impressive lighting rigs, this makes The Round Room a world-class venue for events. It is not just a beautiful space, but a versatile one too, The Round Room can tailor its space to suit your unique needs— from Gala dinners, award ceremonies, charity lunches and dinners, product launches, high end production events you name it. The sky is the limit in this space whether for business events or celebrations.
With over 20 years of passion, we blend Dublin’s history with fresh ideas to make every moment memorable.
