FIRE Steakhouse & Bar

Dublin’s iconic dining destination

FIRE Steakhouse & Bar, a multi-award restaurant rooted in the heart of Dublin city centre within the highly sought-after vicinity of Dawson Street and St Stephens Green.

Realised in the historic 1864 Lord Mayor’s ‘Supper Room’, FIRE’s dining space features stunning vaulted ceilings, authentic stained glass windows and a breathtaking terrace overlooking the Lord Mayor’s Garden.

Known as one of Dublin’s most iconic dining rooms, it is the perfect venue for a special celebratory occasion, such as a birthday, anniversary, wedding, and to make your experience extra special it offers incredible private dining rooms with floor to ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the beautiful garden and bustling Dawson Street.

Where Dublin’s rich history meets culinary excellence

The Mansion House, built in 1710, has been the official residence of the Lord Mayor of Dublin since 1715. On 25th April 1715, the Mansion House was purchased for £3,500, on annual rent and a six-pound loaf of double refined sugar every Christmas. The room now home to FIRE Steakhouse & Bar was originally the Lord Mayor’s ‘Supper Room.’ Built for £1,500, it later became a cultural centre before returning to its roots in the 1990s as a commercial restaurant—where it continues to serve history with every meal.

In 2005, the building transformed once more into FIRE Steakhouse & Bar. Still, this historic gem remains in the care of the state and the Lord Mayor, who often frequents the Supper Room, still resides in the Mansion House — and with good reason.
